Hello, very nice to meet you!
I am a professor at the Department of Psychology at UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal, Social Psychology and Personality section. I also have psychotherapy training with a specialty in couple and family therapy.
After studying Psychology at the University of Turin (Italy), in 2012 I joined a Ph.D. Program in Cognitive Neuroscience. In 2016, I moved on to my post-doctoral work on social cognitive neuroscience at McGill University (Montreal, Canada). I continued working as a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Psychology until 2021.
From 2020 to 2022, I completed my clinical training in the Couple and Family Therapy program at the School of Social Work, McGill University.
My research interests focus on how social perception informs group, affective, and socio-evaluative processes. As a psychotherapist, I focus on affective and socio-emotional processes and use my knowledge of nonverbal communication to support therapy.
